I'm so over this Quarantine! Who is with me? Yes, that is exactly how I feel, but it has given me time to get some much-needed things accomplished.
Time to read my bible and spend more time with God. Time to spend with my husband and kids. Time to obtain a few certifications for my business. It has given me time for self-reflection and rest.
I still struggle with the stay at home order, yesterday I so badly wanted to get out of the house. I wanted to take a road trip to Georgia to see my mom and sisters. I hoped to escape from all the tragic stories I was hearing around me, but I have to remind myself who is in control.
God is in control of all things.
Joseph had a dream of ruling over his people, and his brothers bowing down before him.
Shortly after that dream, his brothers set out to kill him but decided to sell him into slavery instead. Joseph held fast to his love for God and what he had shown him in a dream—even when he was thrown into prison.
God had never left Joseph and fulfilled his promise to him.
But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
Genesis 39:21
If you are feeling uncertain about life, your marriage, or your walk with God, I encourage you today to grab hold of his unfailing love. Open your bible and start with the story of Joseph's life in Genesis. If you are not sure your relationship with your spouse can withstand this quarantine time, ask God to heal your hearts. God so desperately wants us to seek him and spend time with him. Christian have forgotten how to have a relationship with God the Father.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
Joshua 1:9
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough troubles of its own.
